Notice to Registered Electrical Contractors (RECs)

Our priority is to protect the health and safety of our staff, while ensuring that we continue to provide RECs & members of the public a high level of service. We have taken necessary measure to prevent disruption to our service.  At Safe Electric, we are actively monitoring the COVID-19 situation and are implementing changes on a daily basis to ensure a high level of responsiveness to RECs and members of the public.

Can I come to the office and purchase certs?

The Safe Electric office in KCR is currently closed to RECs and members of the public. If you wish to purchase certificates, please use this platform.

Can I collect certificates from the office?

Yes, collection is available Monday to Friday between 9am - 10am and 3pm-4pm. Please do not ring the bell, instead ring 087 276 7105 when outside the office. Please wear a mask when collecting an order.

I can't get through to the hotline, what do I do to get certs?

The sales hotline was setup as a temporary solution to deal with all matters related to ordering certs. Many RECs are contacting the hotline for other matters such as insurance, QC and querying on certificates. This resulted in non sales related calls jamming the hotline. Please only contact the hotline for matters related to placing an order or following up on an order.

What is Pay By Link?

We have teamed with Elavon, a merchant payment provider that will facilitate a new method of payment for subscription fees, change of contractor fee, follow up inspection fees and application fees. A member of our team will issue you a link that will allow you to complete a payment online.This option is scheduled to be introduced in early October.

Are you accepting certificates by email?

We don't process certificates sent in by email. Members of our Certification Department are validating over 700 certificates every week. Please visit the Safe Electric website to find out more about processing timelines and how you can assist in improving these timelines.

Is the office opening anytime soon?

We are monitoring the COVID19 situation very closely and are following government advice to ensure the health and safety of our team. For now, the office will remain closed.
